Girls Not Brides 5 Years Progress Report
Girls Not Brides
5 Years Progress Report
Girls Not Brides is a global partnership of more than 800 civil organisations from over 95 countries committed to ending child marriage and enabling girls to fulfil their potential.
The content of this five-year update was detailed, extensive and very important so we needed to make sure it would be inviting and easy to digest for its target audience. Our first task was to layer the levels of information so that readers could scan the pages and read the important information first, and then dig deeper if they wanted to.
We made creative use of different font sizes and spacing and transformed complex data into infographics and colourful charts. By introducing a five-year timeline to show key moments for global advocacy on child marriage and a world map illustrating change in different countries, we were able to help Girls Not Brides communicate their progress to date.
This project demonstrates our ability to take complex information and make it engaging to look at and easy to read. This report was eventually translated into three languages and distributed around the world.
When we wanted to develop our five-year report and were thinking of which agency to work with, I immediately thought of nim design. Lim and Miguel did a fantastic job. They immediately understood what we were trying to achieve with the report and came up with some great concepts for us to choose from. They were responsive, really helpful and made a complex project very easy. We did the report in several languages and it’s been really well received by everyone from our members, donors and potential donors through to key contacts in country governments and the UN.
