nim design, a graphic design agency in london
Story so far
Our founder, Lim, loves good design and appreciates the thinking that makes something both functional and beautiful. Twenty years ago, he took this passion and established nim design. From the start, he set out to use effective design to make a difference – initially for charities and housing and then for other ethically-minded brands.
Now nim design, based in Harrow, has grown into a team of like-minded creative people working with many clients who have been with us for years. They tell us it’s because they’re always excited about what we’ll bring to the next meeting but we suspect it’s because we think differently and deliver a contemporary edge to their branding, annual reports, multi-platform campaigns and infographics.
Our ethos
Great design makes a difference. We want to use design to unlock the potential of brands that do good. As a team, we appreciate all beautifully crafted design – it’s just that we prefer to create it for brands that are ethically-minded.
We listen carefully to briefs and respond with design that both delights and delivers. As a smallish team, we are flexible and responsive so you’ll always know who to call if you have a question. And we promise to give you an honest answer.
Why choose nim?
Experienced
For over two decades, we have been ensuring ethical brands amplify their voice through strong design. We’ve learned to understand your priorities and audiences so that we can transform your thinking into design which is both exciting and engaging.
Smart
We could have said creative but we think “smart” is a bit more than that. We combine creativity with strategic thinking to develop designs which are striking to look at but, most importantly, which work. Smart is creativity that works for you.
Friendly
Our clients tell us we’re approachable and that they’re happy to call us with any questions “however small”. We like to think of ourselves as part of your team.
Meet the core team
Careful, considered and creative, our team is small but perfectly formed. Every person brings unique skills and their own personality to our core team; individually we’re very different but collectively we all share the same approach to ethical design.
Our Partners
Over the years, we’ve cultivated a network of talented partners who bring particular skills and insight to nim design. We tap into this network when we want to build bigger or more bespoke teams for particular projects. This agile approach unlocks a highly creative talent pool for our clients.
Gosia Wabol
Senior Designer
Gosia is another student of Central St Martins who loves to push creative boundaries. She is passionate about using design to make an emotional connection with target audiences and is experienced enough to know when pragmatic decisions are required.
Her recent work on the rebranding of the Egyptian Exploration Society demonstrated her ability to interpret a challenging brief and to find a solution which exceeded client expectations. The new logo and branding guidelines were also met positively by the many different stakeholders involved from this historic, academic institution.
