Handbook

The Science Council is a partnership of professional bodies promoting scientific knowledge and education for the public benefit.

We were asked to create a Student Engagement Handbook which would allow students to track their own progress as they worked towards Registered Scientist status.

To make the document feel like an interactive planner, we ring bound it and divided it into five sections. We created engaging illustrations and interspersed these with quotes, case studies, advice and facts. Students were encouraged to note down their experiences as they went along by filling in sections which had been left blank for notes, goals and examples.

Reaching out to science students proved challenging but enjoyable. The feedback we received suggested that the illustrative approach had been particularly successful.
