The Connection Project - Connected Report

The Connection Project is a cross-sector initiative bringing together major banks, telecoms providers, broadcasters, charities and policymakers to ensure the UK’s shift to digital services happens in a way that works for everyone. Connected, their second report, sets out the case for coordinated action across five key areas — from connectivity to practical support — and shows industry and government what a well-managed transition looks like in practice.

Connected needed to persuade a demanding audience — ministers, regulators, chief executives and journalists — while remaining accessible to a general reader. The report’s argument builds across chapters, so the design needed to carry readers through a sustained case rather than a series of standalone sections: clear signposting, confident use of data, and a visual language serious enough for a ministerial desk but human enough to keep the argument grounded in real people’s lives.

Working with nim design was a pleasure. They combined creativity with strong project management and accuracy, which was critical given how many stakeholders’ input we had to manage. We are really pleased with the final report, which has been very well received.
