The Crisis in Ukraine - Implications of the war for global trade and development

The WTO regulates and facilitates international trade. 

At short notice, we were asked to design an urgent report describing the impact of the war in Ukraine on global trade and development. The content was heavy with detail and data. 

Our first task was to extract as much data from the text and transform it into accessible charts and tables. The front cover took inspiration from the colours of the Ukrainian flag. We divided the text into five chapters using a clean and simple layout. To ease navigation, we colour coded each chapter and to engage skim readers, we included key messages in pull-out quotes. 

The client was delighted that we were able to work to their extremely tight deadlines. The report was launched on schedule and has met with a positive reaction from WTO members.
